Is it too late to switch at 30+ weeks?
Not at all. We accept transfers through 38 weeks. Many of our happiest moms found us in their third trimester.
How do I transfer my medical records?
We handle it. You sign a release form and we coordinate with your previous provider to get your prenatal records.
Will my insurance cover a birth center if I'm switching mid-pregnancy?
In most cases, yes. We're in-network with Aetna, Cigna, GEHA, Regence BCBS, Tricare, and UnitedHealthcare. We'll verify your specific coverage during your free consultation and explain exactly how it works for mid-pregnancy transfers.
What if complications arise during labor?
Our Ogden center is 2-3 minutes from Ogden Regional Medical Center, and our Layton center is minutes from Davis Hospital. Our licensed midwives are trained to recognize when hospital transfer is needed, and we have seamless coordination with hospital staff.
What's included in your birth center package?
All prenatal visits, labor and birth care, water birth option, immediate postpartum care, newborn exam, lactation support, and postpartum follow-up visits.
Do I have to give birth in water?
Absolutely not. Water birth is available at both locations if you want it, but you have complete freedom to birth however feels right to you—bed, tub, birth stool, standing, squatting. Your choice.
What's the difference between your Ogden and Layton locations?
Both offer the same exceptional midwifery care with our 5 licensed midwives. Our Layton center is our newer, modern facility with state-of-the-art birth suites. Our Ogden center has been serving families for years and offers the same warm, home-like environment. Choose whichever is most convenient for you—the care is outstanding at both.

Yes! We're currently accepting new patients at both our Ogden and Layton locations, including late transfers through 38 weeks.
